Sum 41 - What we're all about
Oh, and if you’re wondering what the heck is spidey doing there, this is from the SpiderMan movie OST.

I spend this weekend lost in Zambujeira do Mar in the MSP Team Building event. There were a few talks given by some folks at Microsoft, CanalUp, Sociedade Ponto Verde, Associação Terra dos Sonhos and NetJovens. All of them excellent, and I got some interesting contacts for some future activities I’m planing. Spending time with the rest of the MSPs was pretty good too, maybe apart from the CC, BCC and Rodeo ;)
Now, to the missed news:
First, Adobe Air 1.0 and Flex3.0 released. Since I’m probably doing my multimedia project in Air, this is a great news! But there is still no signs of a Linux client… This was something you could expect from Microsoft, but from Adobe doesn’t matter that much…
Second, Python 2.5.2 is out, just a bug-fix version.
Third, Oscars sucked once more this year. I can’t really enjoy the kind of movies that win year after year… I guess I’ll jut ignore them from now on…

"Special Effects only. Story sucks." was what I heard from a friend before I went to the movie. My opinion? Brilliant! I loved the fast pace the movie was player, matching the jumpings. I also like the girl, cute and not that hot bondgirl we are used to. The story was cool, nothing complex, but interesting nevertheless. I just didn't agree with the end, but we can't have it all, can we?
PS: I also bought a wiimote (I wouldn’t give that much money for just a console) so I guess come posts about hacking the wiimote in Windows, MacOS, Python and IronPython will be here in no time. For now, let’s sleep :)
Down to Earth from Titan A.E. OST, one of my favorite movies!

When I was a little kid I loved The Net, the TV series. Watching Angela Bennett running away from The Praetorians made my day. Oh, and now I know where did I know Eric Szmanda from! Then I saw the movie featuring Sandra Bullock (that was released 2 years before the series) and I really wished it was Brooke Langton playing Angela. But the storyline was really awesome.
Yesterday I saw The Net 2.0 I was so disappointed! It was just a repetition of the first movie with another character, set and a few details changed. It really sucked! And there was not the context of the first movie: The “Big Brother” fear America was feeling (BTW, I am reading 1984 now!). You can guess pretty much what’s happening next, and the story makes no sense. Oh, and for a geeky movie, the most awesome things were an ugly pocketpc, a tablecpc and a stupid holographicish sphere screen.
I really hope the next movies of this genre I will see ( The Pirates of Silicon Valley and Hackers ) do really worth it.
I have just finished watching the Back to the Future Trilogy and I was really amazed for something they started even before I was born! It is just a classic that I won’t forgive anyone who doesn’t watch it!
One thing that made me thinking was the way they predicted the future in 2015. A lot of things we already have, or even better, but things like flying cars or the hoverboard, which I dreamed when I was a kid are still far from our crafts.
As for the screens, we already achieve it with projectors, and even better with the flexible plastic LCDs. As for the wicked phone-glasses, we have 3G phones and bluetooth ears, that I believe is better than that. We already have the hat with leds and fingerprint door locks! We almost have self-adapted shoes but self-cleaning jackets are still to come.
Is any current scifi movie up to those predictions? I guess not, but we’ll see. And I can’t wait to get back to 2015 to check if it was all true!
This is the hiphop I like, not like that Portuguese pimp sounds. And check it out where this song came from!
Regarding TMNT, it was the movie I liked the most this year until now, It might look weird, but I’m that kiddo that likes comic stuff and sci-fi, and Ninja Turtles are a great example of those two together. Oh and the soundtrack is awesome! Not only this track.
